History of Mesotherapy- (Lipodissolve)
Mesotherapy was invented by French physician, Dr. Michael Pistor, in 1952. The process involves a procedure in which medication is injected into the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue just below the skin. Over the past 50 years, in excess of 15,000 physicians worldwide have used Mesotherapy on a daily basis for a variety of purposes. These include overall weight loss, problem area fat deposit reduction, cellulite reduction, hair loss, and wrinkle elimination.
In 1987, The French Academy of Medicine recognized Mesotherapy as an inherent part of traditional medicine. The International Society of Mesotherapy encompasses 14 countries throughout Europe and South America. Dr. Mok was the first doctor practicing Mesotherapy in Michigan, is a member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and was former Director of the American Board of Mesotherapy.
