MicroSuction / LipoSuction
MicroSuction uses a tiny suction device, about the size of a needle to gently suction unwanted fat. This is a more advanced procedure over traditional liposuction.
This procedure is done with local anesthetic (tumescent lidocaine). The local anesthetic helps separate the fat cells apart, reduces the chance of bruising and swelling, and eliminates discomfort.
The MicroSuction cannula is inserted through a tiny hole and the fat is gently suctioned. Because of the advancements in tools and anesthetic, results are more immediate, swelling is brief, and bruising is far less apparent, many times non-existent. MicroSuction is so gentle, time off work is often not needed, and normal activities can resume quickly.

Microsuction can be performed anywhere on the body, even in areas as delicate as the neck and jowls. Results are noticed instantly, but final improvement may take several months as there is always residual swelling and the skin can take months to get to its final endpoint of tightening.
The tiny mark below the jaw is the access point after 2 weeks. It is 1 millimeter, about the size of a needle and heals quickly. Right in front of the access point is some swelling from the jowl suctioning. While it is smaller, it will continue to go away.
Because this procedure is so gentle, additional procedures can be done the same day. In this case a small amount of Restylane filler was placed in the
lips as well as Radiesse filler for the folds below the
nose extending to the mouth. Botox® was used on the eyebrow to give a mild lift and create a more effeminate, less tired appearing brow.
Many people think they need a facelift and are then disappointed that the
sagging persists. This can happen if the sagging areas contain small
amounts of fat when pinched. Microliposuction involves less risk than a face lift and the downtime is minimal, almost non-existent.
6 weeks after Micro Liposuction to the neck and jowls. Results
are immediate, but continue for about 2 months. Mild bruising is expected,
and the small incision takes some time to heal. In this case she had no
visible bruise after the procedure on her upper neck, but some slight
discoloration at her collar bone area that lasted about 6 days. The suction
was carried out through tiny punctures that were invisible within 2 weeks.
